About BMAT

BMAT started in 2005 when a group of engineers with a passion for music decided to spin-off from an audio research lab in Barcelona. The company started with an idea – to index all the music in the world – and a mission – to better the music eco-system – and a team of nerds eager to learn how to build a successful business. Job Summary 

Product Manager in BMAT Venues will start with reviewing and checking large volumes of data in Excel spreadsheets. The data represents music that is played in venues (bars, clubs, festivals, restaurants, any other public space, etc) that have paid licences to collective management organisations (SGAE-Spain, OSA-Colombia, COMPASS-Singapore and BURIDA-Ivory Coast for example). With our data those organisations know which members they need to pay and how much. The data must be 100% accurate and meet high service levels to ensure an excellent product so musicians receive their royalties. Responsibilities will expand to include designing and implementing automatic processes, collecting and integrating new data sources, and new tools for data deliver.


What You Will Be Doing  

  • Carrying out QA protocols to ensure 100% accuracy

  • Creating and monitoring client accounts and venues monitored

  • Assigning new catalogue to client accounts and test identification

  • Continually improving service levels

  • Managing important relationships with Content, Data, Ops and Engineering

  • Designing and implementing new processes to automate data collection

  • Collecting and integrating new data sources

  • Designing new tools to capture and deliver data to our clients

  • Identifying opportunities for new products with Venues BizDev

  • Identifying trends among clients to prioritise new revenue streams

  • Managing shipping of new products from concept to launch

  • Interviewing clients, client product tests and implementing feedback

  • Translating client needs to teams and tech capabilities to clients

  • Up-to-date product industry news and standards relevant to BMAT Venues.

All About You

  • You are excited about technology and passionate about music.

  • Computer science degree or previous experience in technical role

  • Previous experience working with engineers

  • Grasp of technical details that drive products

  • Excellent understanding of Excel

  • You are highly organised with strong attention to detail

  • You are passionate advocate and can think on their feet

  • Thrives on autonomy and is self-motivated

  • Can channel multiple points-of-view

  • Can project ideas into the minds of others

  • Experience of relationship management

  • Previous experience of product management preferable

  • Experience of shipping product from concept to launch preferable

  • You speak English and Spanish
