About EarthPercent
EarthPercent (registered charity number 1188391) seeks to include the planet as a stakeholder in music by asking artists, companies and individuals to commit a small percentage of their revenue to our grant fund. EarthPercent distributes these funds to the most impactful environmental and climate organisations working on the climate emergency with the guidance of an advisory panel of climate experts, leading scientists and youth activists.
About the Role
Sounds Right is a major initiative that EarthPercent is a partner on, led by Museum for the United Nations - UN Live, in collaboration with global partners including AKQA, Limbo Music, Hempel Foundation, and others. Sounds Right launched NATURE as an artist, allowing her to receive royalties when her sounds are used in music. We’ve partnered with sound artist archives libraries The Listening Planet and VozTerra to provide a library of sounds that human artists can incorporate into their music, ensuring that streaming royalties go towards nature conservation. We’re seeking a Music Administrator to support Sounds Right music releases leading up to COP30, and with a possibility to extend the contract. Your role will be to coordinate the release and distribution of music featuring NATURE, liaising with collaborating artists, ensuring that all licensing, metadata, and releases are properly handled to maximize fundraising for conservation.
Key Responsibilities
Artist & Label Liaison:
Act as a point of contact for artists and their management and label teams for all aspects of release and promotion planning.
Provide artists with essential campaign information, assets, and messaging.
Secure artist quotes for press releases and promotional use.
Release Management & Administration:
Help maintain and manage administrative aspects of the project.
Ensure all natural sounds used in music are properly licensed from our partner expert sound libraries.
Coordinate and verify metadata for releases.
Upload metadata, audio files and artwork to our distribution partner(s)
Organise and process all relevant licence agreements / waivers with artists/labels
Marketing, PR & Reporting:
Work with EarthPercent, UN Live and AKQA to coordinate marketing materials and social media content.
Social content calendar management and liaising with external partner agencies
Assist in preparing marketing materials and press releases with PR teams.
Support EarthPercent in coordinating launch activities, including DSP pitching, optimisation and relationship management.
Track campaign performance, prepare reports, analysis of track performance, assist with final accounting requirements.
Event coordination and support for any in-person (London-based) events.
Provide additional support as needed to ensure the success of the initiative.
Person Specification
We are looking for someone ideally passionate about creating positive environmental impact, and who:
Has experience working with labels, music managers or distribution platforms.
Has experience in project and/or campaign management.
Is a proactive and detail-oriented organiser, ensuring smooth execution of tasks.
Possesses strong communication skills and can liaise confidently with artists, managers, and industry executives.
Works well under pressure, meets tight deadlines, and can manage their time effectively.
Is independent, takes ownership of tasks, and delivers high-quality work.
