Renowned for its rich musical heritage, spanning from classical to heavy metal, the land of a thousand lakes and hundreds of music festivals is home to Shesaid.so Finland. Established to expand our global network, this chapter addresses the need for stronger international connections and fosters an inclusive and supportive environment for women, non-binary individuals, and allies in Finland’s music industry.

Through strategic partnerships, engaging events, and a vibrant community, we aim to empower our members and contribute to a more equitable industry. Shesaid.so Finland is dedicated to creating a community where members can learn from one another, raise awareness about gender inequality and cultural diversity, and promote a more inclusive, supportive, and equitable music industry for all. At the heart of our chapter is the commitment to provide spaces and opportunities for community members to learn, connect, and find inspiration.

Past Events & Initiatives

WOMEN BEHIND THE MICS

Women Behind the Mics event, hosted by Sony Music Finland in collaboration with shesaid.so Finland in April 2025. For one evening, Sony’s office transformed into a cozy living room that brought together women, women-identifying, and non-binary professionals from across the music industry.

We had the pleasure of hearing from Annika Teresa Oksanen from Live Nation Finland, who gave an inspiring talk about her career journey and the insights she’s gained along the way. The night was filled with meaningful connections and great energy.

Our partners were Vitamin Well Suomi, JOE & THE JUICE, 3Kaveria, Fotoyks & Papershop Putinki

EPIC FAIL - THE BLUNDER CLUB

At the Mars Conference in February 2025, shesaid.so Finland created space for something we don’t talk about enough — failure.

In an industry that loves its success stories, we hit pause on the polished narratives and made room for the real ones. Music professionals opened up about the moments that didn’t go as planned — the flops, the fumbles, the facepalms — and what came after.

After the panel, we handed the mic to the room. Attendees shared their own “epic fails” in an open mic session full of honesty, laughter, and solidarity.
