A curated cultural exchange connecting the music communities of Romania and the UK.
MEETSSS is back! Sort of. shesaid.so is excited to team up with the Vans Checkerboard Fund at Tides Foundation to host two events in Bucharest, Romania and London, UK this year.
Kicking off in Bucharest on the 18th of June 2025, the first (micro) MEETSSS event will take place at Hotel Marmorosch and will include a panel featuring music industry guests from the UK, music by local talent and a mixer. The event is primarily targeted at music industry professionals and creatives based in Romania, however any of our global and local chapter members are welcome to join.
The second event in London will be announced this summer so stay tuned for updates by subscribing to our newsletter or becoming a member.
The goal behind this initiative is to encourage intimate knowledge sharing, showcase emerging talent, and direct cultural exchange between the two cities. With thanks to the Vans Checkerboard Fund at Tides Foundation.

(micro) MEETSSS Bucharest will invite 3 guests from the UK music industry to travel to Romania for 3 days and immerse themselves in the local music scene.
Starting with the main event taking place on June 18th, our guests will also take part in a series of studio and visits featuring key players in the music industry in Romania. We will be releasing more info on the full program, our guests and partners very soon so stay tuned for updates.
The event is free to attend but RSVP is required as spaces are limited. Drinks and light snacks will be provided.
Meet the Panelists:
Alina Eremia – Artist
Alina Eremia is one of Romania’s leading pop artists, known for hits like “Tu ești vara mea,” “Gura ta,” and “Am Ales.” Her EP Antifragil topped charts and led to a sold-out national tour. With millions of streams and viral success on platforms like TikTok, she’s built a strong presence across radio, TV, and live stages.
Linda Ayoola – Global Head of Music at Platoon (Apple)
Formerly Africa Lead at Platoon, Linda now oversees all genres with a global team at Platoon. A passionate advocate for African music, she has helped shape the careers of artists like Ayra Starr and Amaarae.
Yewi Omo – Creative Strategist
Yewi Omo is a music marketing specialist with over 10 years’ experience. She’s worked with artists like Oxlade, Victony, and DJ Maphorisa, and has led campaigns for Red Bull, Afronation, and Live Nation.
Lisa Young In – Head of Digital, TaP Music
Lisa Young In is Head of Digital at TaP Music, leading digital campaigns and strategy for artists such as Lana Del Rey, Ellie Goulding, and Mabel. She previously worked at AWAL with artists like Little Simz and Jungle and on UK #1 albums for The Wombats and You Me At Six.
