About NOT BAD FOR A GIRL
NOT BAD FOR A GIRL is an organisation working to challenge gender discrimination in the dance music industry. We achieve this by hosting live music events, networking opportunities and workshops focussed on women and gender-diverse people. Alongside this, we run a label (EQUAL PARTS), and look after a growing roster of seven resident DJs who play regularly at clubs and festivals across the UK and beyond.
You’ll be joining a small, ambitious team where creativity, curiosity and collaboration are valued as much as results. We’re growing quickly, and we care about supporting our people as we do it.
About the Role
We’re looking for a versatile, creative Events & Digital Manager who can take full ownership of our marketing and events - from strategy through to delivery. You’ll lead digital campaigns across social and email, champion our brand voice, and use insights to grow engagement. Alongside this, you’ll curate and deliver parties and community events that spotlight women and gender-diverse artists - managing artists, venues, ticketing, and promotion end-to-end. You’ll build strong relationships across the scene, bring in new opportunities, and help shape the next phase of NBFG’s growth.
Who You Are
A sharp, proactive self-starter who can work independently and collaboratively in a fast-moving, non-corporate environment.
Comfortable working in ambiguity and fast-changing environments - you bring clarity and momentum.
A big-picture thinker who’s also hands-on. You turn ideas into action quickly and confidently.
Values-driven. You care deeply about inclusivity, representation, and doing things differently.
Experienced - ideally 2+ years in a digital marketing or events role, preferably within the music or creative industries.
A competent content creator with a strong understanding of social platforms, storytelling, and trends.
Organised and confident managing timelines, partners, venues, and creatives. You know how to keep multiple moving parts aligned.
Data-driven and curious. You use insights to understand what’s working and improve engagement.
A proactive problem-solver who takes ownership - you see what needs to be done and you make it happen.
A clear, thoughtful communicator and a strong relationship builder.
