shesaid.so London is the oldest chapter of shesaid.so globally.
For London’s women and gender nonconforming people in the music industry, shesaid.so offers regular events for its members including breakfast meet-ups, parties and networking, collaborations and panel content including Bestival, BBC Introducing LIVE, Ffwd London, Boiler Room, All Points East Festival and more!
For International Women’s Day 2018, ssso London collaborated with UN Women and He For She on a day of panels covering parenthood in music and women on stage.
shesaid.so’s first mentorship programme was launched in London in 2017 with a pilot scheme pairing up over 40 from all areas of the music industry, this year’s full scheme caters for over 100 women, including women from the Indian music industry.
The chapter also shares jobs for women and gender nonconforming people in the industry, on its email forum and social media. The chapter launched a great facebook group for mothers’ working in the industry shesaid.so Mamas in Music, as well as hosting an event for mothers to come (and bring their children!) to network and support each other.
shesaid.so London has been featured on Soho Radio, Music Week, and Music Business Worldwide; and the network have collaborated with other women in music entities such as Flexx, Gal Dem, Geek Girl Meetup UK and BBZ.

CRYSTAL MURRAY & SHESAID.SO presents STARMANIAK RELEASE PARTY
To celebrate the forthcoming release of her new single, STARMANIAK, inimitable Paris-hailing & London dwelling musician and creative Crystal Murray hosts an extra special night at Beaubeaus, London in association with shesaid.so.
STARMANIAK lands alongside an incredible Charlotte Wales-directed video which will be screened on the night.
The evening will kick off with a panel discussion featuring Crystal, Charlotte Wales, Julie Mathieu Moreau (executive producer of the video), and creative director Stephy Galvini. The panel will be moderated by Tara Joshi and will cover themes reflected in the music video and broader topics relating to the female creative industry experience.
Following the discussion there will be an opportunity for guests to ask our panel questions and then we party with DJ sets from Emma Korantema, Broodooramses and a live performance from Crystal.
Speaking of the single, which is an anthem for anyone who feels they’ve been walked over, Crystal says: "I wanted to highlight the struggles and challenges that many women face in today's society, particularly the pervasive issue of being over-sexualized, disrespected, and mistreated. My acknowledgement of the toxicity that some individuals can perpetuate is important. I'm talking about my own experiences but also shedding light on broader societal issues that need to be addressed."
